Typing Lessons

Being able to type quickly is an important skill when you need to create documents for classroom assignments and other presentation materials that require entering information onto a computer using a typing keyboard.  This skill is very different that texting on a smart phone!

Learning where the letters are located on a common "QWERTY" keyboard found on many computers takes practice, often learning letter placements one row at a time.

Typing.com is one program to help you learn keyboarding.  It is most effective if you complete one lesson at a time, in the order it is presented.  Skipping lessons will not help you learn touch typing.  You can always re-do a lesson for further practice.  Remember, ACCURACY is more important than SPEED when learning to touch type.
