Ritchie Garcia
Ritchie Garcia joined Des Moines Elementary School as principal in 2026. Ritchie had most recently served as the interim principal at West Seattle Elementary, where he also served as an assistant principal, instructional coach and teacher. He also taught at a dual language school in New York City, worked as a teacher in China and served in the Peace Corps in Uganda. Ritchie holds an educational leadership certificate form Western Governors University, a master’s degree in bilingual education from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. John’s University.
