Based on public health recommendations, we intend to continue phasing in students to in-person learning on March 1. Our next phase includes:
- Grade 1
- Students in our Intensive Academic Center (IAC) program (K-12)
We will phase in other elementary grades in the weeks after March 1.
- Grades 2 and 3 will begin at least two weeks after March 1
- Grades 4 and 5 will begin at least two weeks after the start of grades 2 and 3
We will use a hybrid model with students attending school half-days four days per week. In this model, students who choose hybrid instruction will attend in-person in either the morning or afternoon. They will participate in Distance Learning the other half of the day and all day on Wednesday.
Bus transportation will be provided for students who qualify.
Families will also have the option to have their students continue in fully remote learning, if they choose.
A survey asking families with students in PreK-5 or our IAC program (K-12) to commit to hybrid or fully remote instruction is scheduled for launch on Friday, January 15. Families will have until January 29 to make their commitment.
We will continue to send information via email and update the 2021 Learning webpage with the newest information.
To get more information about our plan to return to in-person instruction join us for a Family Webinar on Thursday, January 14.
Join us for one of our family information sessions on January 14 to learn details for students in PreK-5 or our IAC program (K-12) returning to in-person learning. Both sessions will contain the same information and be presented in English, Spanish, Somali and Vietnamese.
