🤒When Should My Child Stay Home From School?

Regular attendance helps students build relationships, stay engaged and feel connected to their school community. At the same time, staying home when sick supports recovery and protects the health of others.

One question many families ask is: How sick is too sick for school?

🎙️ Season Two of The Promise Podcast is Here

⚠️ Know the Five Emergency Response Actions

Highline uses the Standard Response Protocol during emergencies. The five actions — HOLD, SECURE, LOCKDOWN, EVACUATE and SHELTER — give students and staff clear steps to follow.

Learn what each action means and how we are preparing our schools.

✅Confirm Your Student’s Emergency Information for 2026-27

Families are required each year to review, verify and update their student’s emergency contacts, health information and other important details.

Keeping this information current helps us reach you quickly and support your student’s safety throughout the school year.

🍏 Check Next Week’s School Meals

School meals are available to all students at no cost this school year. Check out the NEW interactive menu platform My School Menus where you can view nutrition details, check for allergens and more.
